I did enjoy French books quite a bit though, namely Le Petit Prince. And poetry was a frequent under my arm.

Tis I whom the children love the best,
My wealth is all for them,
For them is set each glossy cup,
Upon each sturdy steam.

Oh little playmates whom I love,
The sky is summer-blue,
And meadows filled with buttercups,
Are spread abroad for you.

The Buttercup Fairy (Flower fairies of the Summer - Barker 1925)
http://www.printspast.com/pwap1001030012.htmAmber Csarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06724700221029394906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4283782024987729643.post-31718074785770208242009-04-04T07:51:00.000-06:002009-04-04T07:51:00.000-06:00I've been meaning to tell you that I really enjoy ...I've been meaning to tell you that I really enjoy reading your blog! Jane Eyre is a wonderful book. The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald is another one of my favourites along with Madame Bovary by Flaubert.

That elephant is adorable - I might just have to get the pattern and make one myself for my little guy!

No spring blooms in this part of Ontario either. :( Soon maybe!Kristyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11626002756594525585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4283782024987729643.post-34622553065916276812009-04-03T18:28:00.000-06:002009-04-03T18:28:00.000-06:00Oh how I love Jane Eyre! I read and re-read it so many times that some of the pages are beginning to fall out. Now? I have many favorites now however David Copperfield is one of the ones I continue to go back to. Adore Dickens!

Happy April to you and your lovelies, and I hope spring comes your way soon. We are still waiting for her to visit us in Ontario...Nadiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03589773027906965288noreply@blogger.com
