Bookworms, Part 1

We are a family of bookworms. Our house is filled with borrowed books, library books, and stacks upon stacks and shelves upon shelves of our books. I am, admittedly, completely addicted to buying books. Sure, I love the library, but oh how I regret having to give those loaned books back! My love of books is very clearly echoed in Q, who can (and many times has) sit for hours carefully "reading" (he has most of them memorized) every single childrens book we have.

Wee T was a little slower to warm up to them (read: destructive), but has certainly found his favorites.

And a new rhythm has developed for us, during these cool and beautiful autumn days, involving lots of library time, followed by lots of park time. It couldn't be more perfect really.

Unless we find some friends to join in the fun...

Have you read any good books lately?

Oh look at our wee ones! Too cute. I definitely vote library over Family Place, anytime.

oh...those curly locks, and library + park time sounds like bliss to me. You lucky ducks! I worked in bookstores for 7 years...I adore books. And now I love that I have such a great excuse to indulge in children's books. Yes, my latest read which I am sure you will love is called "the divided heart - art and motherhood" by rachel power...

My cousin and I just started a book club blog for my family so that we could read together and post our thoughts. So, yeah, I can totally relate to the book loving bug. But your little bookworms are way cuter than my cousin and me! (: Happy Halloween!

Adorable! Sounds wonderful. So far, my little one is still in the "let's eat the book instead of reading it" phase, but she seems to be coming around. Which is good, since I was a major bookworm growing up and certainly want to instill this love in her, too!

The last good book I read was "Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortensen, a true story about building schools for girls in Pakistan. Amazing how something so simple as a school can help build world peace!
